Everyone commits mistakes. So did I. Not so serious or heinous ones. But there were some crucial things or actions needed to be taken on my part which I certainly missed on. As 2013 is wrapping up and we are at the verge of a new start in the very new year, I thought it would be the perfect time to recall those mistakes for the last time and try to improvise on them in the 2014.
So let’s begin with the 3 most deadly mistakes I made which proved out to be deteriorating for my blog.
3 Blogging Mistakes Committed by Me in 2013
- Less Publishing, Less Content :- What you give is what you take. Somehow, I couldn’t manage to publish regular content to my blog. Ultimately, it resulted in only 10-15 blog posts per month whereas the number should have been between 25-30 as was the target set by me. This was, according to me a major block in the progress of this blog. Thus I have decided to be more dedicated in publishing quality and useful content on a regular basis. As a solution, I have planned to pre-write posts and schedule them for being published later on the appropriate day.
- Less Guest Posting :- This one thing hindered the growth of the traffic since I could not guest post as much as was required. Though I never kept back at building relationships via blog commenting and interaction, guest blogging was not paid much attention to. To overcome this barricade, I have planned to write at least one guest post every week on a related niche blog so as to build better relations with other bloggers and people.
- Less Social Media Engagement :- It was only in the second half of this year that I became active on Social Media like Twitter and Google+ and came in contact of some awesome bloggers and humans. Though I always loved Twitter, I could not use it to the full potential until now. As for 2014, I have planned to take a lot of steps to be in constant touch of my social media profiles.
There is nothing better to start right away. So I wouldn’t be waiting for the new year to arrive to execute my plans. But I would certainly like to know what you did as a blogger/writer in 2103 and what are your plans for the upcoming 2014.
