keywords

There are some keywords which you should try to avoid and not use in your blog as these keywords do very little or almost nothing for the SEO of your blog and you will not receive any benefits for using them. Here are some of these keyword’s categories: -

  1. Keywords with a lot of competition :- There are some keywords which have over 20,000 searches per month globally and are generally ranked as highly competitive. It’s almost next to impossible to gain first page rankings for such keywords as the competition for them is extremely high. The first page rankings for such keywords are generally occupied by authority sites which have been online for a decade or two and they cannot be replaced so easily.  You should rather focus on keywords which generally have 3-8,000 monthly searches as you get a fair chance with these keywords and you can rank good with a little bit of positive effort.
  2. Strange and unusual keywords :- Always use your sixth sense when doing a keyword research. Do not try such keywords which are strange and are sparingly searched by people. Avoid very long phrases as keywords as there are rarely any searches where people keep on typing and typing . Sounds logical!!Isn’t it? Such keywords show a “-”(hyphen) in the number of searches in the Google Keyword Tool . This means zero searches for this keyword are made.
  3. Keywords having low cost-per-click value :- You should try to avoid such keyword having low cpc value. Although this tip is important for those who do paid marketing. You need something for which people are looking for. There is no use focusing on something which has less value online.
