The New Year is here finally!!! And I am sure that you would like to be at your best when you go after the SEO for your blog. I would like to mention some of the great WordPress themes and plugins which made their names last year as the best WordPress SEO tools.

But before I list out these SEO tools which you should give a try in 2013, I would like to mention one very important thing here : ” This list is based on my personal use and after-use experience”.

Best Themes and Plugins For SEO

  1. WordPress SEO by Yoast :- No matter how much Scribe and SEOPressor boast about being the best SEO WordPress plugins, WordPress SEO by Yoast is the first name which comes to the mind of any WP blogger. I am not saying that the other two plugins are not efficient enough. But the advantage of Yoast being available for free use outcasts the others out of competition.
  2. Thesis 2.0 :- Though I have not personally used and tested it, but from the reviews of its users, I highly recommend this WordPress Theme. To catch a complete glimpse of this awesome theme check out the official page of DIYTHEMES.
  3. SEO ALRP :- SEO  Auto Links and Related Posts can give a real boost to the SEO of your blog by showing related posts and creating auto internal links. I have been a premium user of this plugin and trust me there is no better plugin for this purpose out there.
  4. All in One SEO Pack :- Just the perfect plugin for you if you are a newbie in SEO. Easy to configure and gives great results.
  5. Genesis :- No need to describe this most selling WordPress Premium Theme on the planet. Just choose the design which best suits your blog or website and each and every child theme is loaded with SEO.
  6. Google XML Sitemaps :- Generates a sitemap for Google, pings major search engines each and every time you update your blog. Definitely a must have if you want to keep search engines what’s going on your blog all the time.

In addition to these plugins and themes which have been specifically built for targeting SEO of your blog. There are some other plugins like W3 Total Cache which speeds up your website which again helps you to gain better rankings in the search engines.

Which plugins and themes are you using on your blog for SEO? Please give your suggestions and reviews.

All in one SEO has always been the one I used. I should really look at something with more features but with the pile of things I have to do on a daily basis I'm not sure SEO tweaks are one thing I want to start doing.

    Hey Brian,

Yes I used All in one SEO when I started with this blog. Then I switched to WordPress SEO. I understand you have lots of stuff to do while managing Blog Engage.

Thanks for taking out time and dropping your experience here.

Appreciating the hard work you put into your website and detailed information you offer. It’s great to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same unwanted rehashed material. Great read! I’ve saved your site and I’m including your RSS feeds to my Google account.
